Salmontini is a slick and elegant restaurant made up of a glistening bar area, laid-back lounge and tranquil dining space. This beautiful restaurant signals decadent dining from all angles with its lush location on Pont Street to it the luxury ingredients on the menu.

Lounge area

This restaurant was born out the desire of the owners to create a restaurant serving the finest smoked salmon in stylish surroundings, and this is exactly what they achieved. The ground floor encompasses a casual and comfortable bar and lounge area together with a more formal space, complete with a Royal Dining Table for ten people ideal for group dining. The lower ground floor houses the stunning Private Dining Room, capable of seating up to 26 people, with warm amber columns and an incredible wine display.

Salmontini is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, and on Sunday for Brunch too, which is what I tried.

Would I Want Seconds?

The menu at Salmontini offers a variety of cuisines, and this actually works well because of the unifying ingredient of salmon that runs through them. Although the majority is Japanese, there are also French, Italian and even Moroccan dishes on the menu too.

The restaurant also offer aptly offer a champagne brunch which is an ideal way to spend a decadent weekend morning, especially as it includes bottomless Moet and Chandon Champagne till 3pm!

To start the brunch commenced with a delicious array of healthy salads, including asparagus, quinoa, avocado and pomegranate. This was a fabulous way to start the meal as the ingredients were fresh, beautifully dressed and well paired with the champagne.

The course was spicy salmon and spicy tuna tartare salads cupped in a crispy lettuce leaf and sprinkled with tempura. This composition created an appetising starter and was actually one of my favourite dishes because of it’s light but tasty nature.

Next was the sushi course and we tried the mixed selection of maki and nigiri Salmontini platter. The sushi was divine and very tempting and as a result we devoured the whole platter pretty quickly.

As we are actually still hungry we were happy to hear that the brunch menu also included desserts! There are a couple of dessert options that Salmontini had lovingly put together and this is evident from the gorgeous presentation and delicious balance of flavours. The options include a giant velvety raspberry macaron, apple tart, and the centrepiece chocolate bomb with hot fudge sauce drizzled over it to create a warm melted chocolatey delight!

Could I Afford Seconds?

Salmontini is a decadent destination and this is reflected in the prices, however it is still  a worthwhile restaurant due to the high quality of the food served.

The brunch menu which includes bottomless Moet and Chandon Champagne and a large selection of courses costs £60 per person.  Lunch and dinner would actually cost the same per person from the a la carte menu and in comparison to other high-end restaurants in the same area, this isn’t too bad a price and I would certainly come back for it.

The quality of the ingredients, the relaxed atmosphere, attentive service and of course luxurious surroundings make this restaurant the perfect restaurant to visit. I had a fabulous time with some lovely fellow bloggers here and I do hope to return soon!
