Although located on Edgware RoadMaroush Gardens has tried hard to distance itself from the many other kebab houses that line the road.

The entrance and décor is more like a high end restaurant, with marble tops, grand rooms, dark wooden pillars and palm trees! Alongside the engraved mirrors hanging on many of the walls, there is even an ornate water fountain filled with koi carp.

Would I Want Seconds?

Maroush Garden has a large and varied menu. To start our mral we ordered a selected of meze style starters, including halloumi cheese, hummus, moutabal and batata harra. Each of these dishes were delicious and arrived in large easy to share portions.

For our main course we tried the kastaleta lamb, roasted lamb, shish taouk and mixed grill. We also ordered a side of rice as many of the dishes were meat heavy and served with accompanying sides. However the portions again were large and easy to share across the table. The lamb was a particular highlight as it was so well cooked it almost melted!

To help digest the feast we had eaten, we also ordered mint tea and we were provided with knefeh and ossmallieh as desserts.

Overall:

Maroush Gardens is a luxurious restaurant on Edgware restaurant which serves delicious Lebanese food. However for those of you wanting the real Edgware Road experience and much cheaper, but great food, I’d recommend one of the smaller restaurants on the street, which include the other branches of Maroush.
