Review: Breakfast at NAC, North Audley Street, Mayfair
Style Points: 4/5
Price: ££
Overall: 4/5
NAC is the type of gorgeous quaint little restaurant I wish I could spend more of my days in. Located behind Oxford Street, NAC is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the shoppers and has still has a sense Mayfair decadent elegance about it.
So on a particularly sunny morning, I headed down to NAC to treat myself to their chic breakfast menu.
Would I Want Seconds?
There were a couple of dishes I wanted to try from NAC’s breakfast menu but finally settled on avocado on toast with poached eggs (£10). This dish arrived beautifully presented and in a rather large portion! Unlike some avocado breakfast dishes, this one had significant amounts of ripe avocado, topped with beetroot and radish. A glass of freshly squeezed orange juice was perfect to help wash it all down.
During breakfast NAC has a relaxed, uncrowded, atmosphere and so I decided to indulge a bit longer and ordered fresh mint tea to finish off my meal.
Could I Afford Seconds?
Breakfast dishes at NAC are between £6 - £12 and are served in large portions. Hot drinks such as matcha latte and chilii hot chocolate are £4 and smoothies and fresh juices cost slightly more at between £5 - £6. These prices are justified by the quality and quantity of food served at NAC.
Overall?
NAC is perfect for a long, lounging breakfast and the menu is full of tempting dishes that you’d want to go back repeatedly to try them all. I certainly will be back as soon as the weather gets better to try their coconut iced coffee and honey chocolate French toast!
