The Shard, which is not only London’s, but Western Europe’s tallest building, houses a few different dining venues, including the smart and stylish Aqua Shard

Serving refined British cuisine in a low-lit large space, Aqua Shard on the thirtieth floor has floor-to-ceiling glass across the restaurant, offering spectacular riverside views of London’s stunning cityscape.

What’s on the menu?

The ingredients on Aqua Shard’s menu are all sourced from across the UK, created an authentic British menu.

To start our meal I ordered a pictureque salad of smoked duck with blood orange and walnut mayonnaise, as well as Jerusalem artichoke soup with roasted crosnes, crisps, wild garlic oil.

For our main course we tried the soft and delicately roasted cod which was seeped in moreish seaweed butter and monksbeard. This was an appetising dish filled with subtle flavours.

The dessert menu looked particularly exciting, and couldn’t resist ordering the scrumptious sticky toffee pudding with warm caramel sauce and chocolate foam for the top of this. This was a decadent and delicious dessert perfect for ending the meal on.

Could I afford to dine here again?

Aqua Shard is a fine dining restaurant and the prices reflect this. However the restaurant often has many set menu offers, especially with Bookatable
