The Best Food and Drink from Devon - Delivered to you!

We’ve all accepted that travelling to our favourite destinations in the UK will be more difficult than usual this Summer. I usually love to go to Devon over the Summer, to enjoy the fresh local produce in their restaurants, bars, farms and vineyards. However, we can now enjoy the best food and drink that Devon has to offer from home, with these local independent producers who deliver nationwide.

Here are my favourite food and drink from Devon that you can get delivered to your home!

Best Vodka: Devon Cove Potato

Devon’s first potato vodka, this luxurious smooth vodka is produced using King Edward potatoes as the base ingredient. The potatoes are lovingly grown in rich soil on founder Leanne Carr’s family’s farm, and even the water used is Devon spring water, truly capturing the essence of Devon.

This exceptional, pure and clean vodka is delicious to drink on its own, with a mixer, or as the base spirit in a cocktail.  Cove Vodka’s perfect serve is poured over ice, with chilled soda water and a squeeze of fresh lime, or in a creamy White Russian cocktail like I did!

Best Cream Tea: Waterhouse Fayre

Waterhouse Fayre uses traditional, small scale techniques to produce award winning handmade jams, preserves, chutneys and marmalades and they are now delivering their delicious cream tea across the country.

Their hampers include their very own freshly made scones, a choice of award winning jams, decadent clotted cream, and tea from the Devonshire Tea Company too. You also have the option of adding traditional Devon splits too!

I loved my hamper and enjoyed cream tea in the garden as a picnic. There was also enough cream and jam to last a few more sittings which was great!

Best Zero Alcohol: Sea Arch

Bursting with seaside botanical, Sea Arch has all the deliciousness of a gin, but none of the alcohol.

With many people becoming more discerning about the origin and contents of their food and drink, there has been a real rise in demand for high quality non-alcoholic drinks. Sea Arch appeals to this as it is calorie-free, allergen-free, and filled with fresh flavours and natural botanicals.

The same care and consideration has been put into creating Sea Arch as any alcoholic drink, as the founders believe the more mindful customers are as equally important as their alcohol drinking friends. This is definitely the most luxurious non-alcoholic distilled spirit I’ve tried and would be more than happy to use it in my G&Ts!

Best Organic Lager and Ales: Barnaby's Brew House

Barnaby’s Brewhouse combines their passion for organic beer with an ecological approach to produce unique beers that are suitable for everyone, including vegetarians and vegans.

They are a completely sustainable business, using renewable energy sources and repurposing or reusing all waste products. The water they use comes from a natural spring that rises on the organic farmland a few hundred yards from the brewery which is chemical free. This results in a pure and delicate taste in their craft lager which is soft and easy to drink.
