Thor’s Tipi - Christmas pop-up London

What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than with a Viking inspired, pop-up tipi bar!

Nestled in the heart of the city at Regent’s Place Plaza, Thor’s is a Nordic winter wonderland providing guests with festive warmth until Christmas. Channelling a Viking feel, THOR’S is serving up an array of tipples and food to get you in the festive spirit. 

Inside, a cosy log fire and twinkling lights fill the tipi. There are log benches with blankets scattered around as well we high tables and stools. There is also a picturesque outside space which is useful as it can get quite warm inside because of the log fire!

Food?

Guests can also feast on hot sausages with Scandinavian toppings served straight from the grill. We tried the Wildboar with Swedish mustard, Swedish Ketchup with copious amounts of crispy onions sprinkled over the top. We also had Thor's Fries, which were crunchy fries loaded with sliced sausage, Vasterbotten cheese, lingonberry jam and chives. 

The food is freshly cooked outside on a large barbecue grill, and this pop-up kitchen is also open for lunch for those passing by.

Drink?

Guests can sip on Scandi glühwein, a take on mulled wine, or warm up with a cup of hot cider. Those with a sweet tooth must try the ‘spiked’ hot chocolate, a naughty concoction with a choice of Baileys, amaretto, cherry brandy, crème de menthe or orange curacao. 

We tried the warming mulled wine which came in large red cups and was a good portion size. I also had the Baileys hot chocolate with cream whipped cream and marshmallow. This was a delicious drink with the perfect balance of Baileys and chocolate. 

Overall? 

Filled with cosy log fires, twinkling lights & Christmas cheer, Thor’s is the ideal place to go for after-work festive drinks and it will certainly get you into the spirit. The staff are friendly and happy to answer any questions about the food and drink. 

As the winter chill closes, Thor’s is the ideal place to warm up.
