For this festive season, The Sanderson Hotel has expanded their renowned Alice in Wonderland inspired Afternoon Tea with a new version - the festive evening tipsy tea!

This is perfect for cocktail connoisseurs as the afternoon tea comes with specially created cocktails, including a warm cocktails served in teacups! The Afternoon Tea is served in the beautiful surroundings over the outdoor Courtyard Garden, which is fully heated for the winter months, making it a very cosy experience.

Food?

The Tipsy Afternoon Tea starts with trio of drinks, made up of a Passion Fruit Bellini, a Pear Cosmo and an aptly named Like A Flamingo In A Flock Of Grey Goose.

The food on offer includes a selection of savoury bites such as Smoked Salmon Scotch Egg and the Craxton Manor Brie and Parmesan Sandwich.

There is also a selection of scones, which strangely aren’t served with jam or clotted cream. However the sweet selection has had a refresh and now features alcohol infused cakes. This includes Mini Christmas Pudding Mad Hatters Christmas Tree Meringues too.

Price?

Mad Hatters Tipsy Evening Tea at The Sanderson Hotel is priced at £68 per person and can be booked via Bookatable.

Overall?

The Festive Evening Tipsy Tea is a quirky new experience in a beautiful location. In terms of the food itself, the afternoon tea doesn't quite hit the mark, however the new concept is appealing and great for the festive season as it makes a lovely setting for a celebration.

Priced from £68 per person, available 26 November - 24 December and from 2 - 6 January 2019.
