FEAST 2014

FEAST 2014

This summer Feast returned to the Tobacco Dock from 31 July until 3 August 2014.

Feast has always been an energetic, all-encompassing food experience and is unique in the way it brings together large high end restaurants with smaller street food stands unlike any other festival.

Since it was established in 2012, Feast has welcomed over 30,000 food lovers and showcased more than 150 of London’s finest food purveyors. This edition of Feast was the biggest so far, offering the chance to eat, drink, shop and learn too.

Many on-trend restaurants were present at Feast including Aqua ShardHappy MakiThe Breakfast Club and Gordan Ramsay’s Union Street Café.

These stands were complimented by the animated street food vendors who included PopdogsWaffle On and my favourite Horn OK Please. But that’s not all Feast had to offer, as they also featured a Market Place area with stands from small independent retailers such as The BrulerieComins Tea House and The Marshmallowists.

In addition, there were also a variety of bars serving drinks throughout the event. This including London’s only operating Absinthe bar where attendees could enjoy a private experience at a secret Absintherie, with cocktail making sessions and master classes too.

These Absinthe Experience master classes were part of a larger range of eccentric and engaging sessions running throughout the event which included Eat Your Taxidermy and Sip/Sniff Wine and Perfume Pairing.

Stands at Feast

With all these elements, this year’s Feast festival was definitely an epic treat for the food senses and next year they are planning to evolve the event into a new direction. I can’t wait to experience the new look Feast, and will be keeping my eyes peeled for the next event!
