BRGR.CO Soho, London - Restaurant Review

Following a recent swanky refurb, BRGR.CO on Soho’s buzzing Wardour Street also revamped its menu to match the sleek interiors.

A short walk from London’s Oxford Street, BRG.CO is making the most of its prime location by extending it’s menu to serve not just burgers, but hot-dogs and giant milkshakes all served up in the new crisp white and neon surroundings.

What’s on the menu?

BRGR.CO has chosen to keep things simple on the menu but have still maintained a good level of choice on the menu.

We started with cocktails and were surprised at just how strong they were, as the English Garden and Passionfruit Daiquiri packed quite the punch.

To start, from the ‘Teasers’ section of the menu, we ordered chicken strips made of golden fillet and served with honey mustard dip. These were enormous and tasted far better than the well-known fast food versions. The portion was very generous, making it well worth the price!

We also ordered the crispy buttermilk onion stack with tarragon aioli which again was a large portion and very wholesome.

Now onto the burgers! We tried the bacon blue burger served with not-so overpowering blue cheese, perfectly crisp bacon and a good sized tasty patty. However, it was surprisingly the onion relish that was the standout ingredient as it elevated the burger ten-fold!

We also tried the chicken burger, made using free range chicken breast, this was served with coleslaw, Sriracha mayo sauce, tomato, lettuce, onions, dill pickle. A classic but tasty combination.

On the side we tried truffle fries with parmesan as well as sweet potato fries, both of which were delicious, fresh, and served in generous portions.

For dessert we tried the salted caramel ice cream with chocolate sauce, vanilla cream and caramel popcorn. This was served in three scoops which made it a large dessert and definitely one to share.

We also couldn’t resist but try one of the shakes and ordered the peanut butter and banana shake. As expected, this was a giant portion and a very sweet one at that!

Price?

BRGR.CO serves swanky burgers which are at the higher end of the scale but the prices are fairly reasonable and match the other burger joints in the area. Burgers are between £9-£12 and sides are between £4-£7. All cocktails are priced at £7.

Overall: 3/5

BRGR.CO is a fun restaurant, as the staff, unique toilets (head down and flick the switch to see what I mean) and the vibe of the venue is relaxed and cool. The burgers are delicious and worth going back for. In fact I can’t wait to head back and try the truffle burger next!
