Melitta Barista TS Smart Fully Automatic Coffee Machine
Thanks to this revolutionary coffee machine from Melitta, we can have barista style coffees at the touch of a button…literally. This fully automatic bean to cup machine can make and customise coffees directly from your smartphone, so you can make your morning coffee from your bed as soon as you wake up.
There’s an incredible 21 preset coffees to choose from including the familiar favourites like espresso, cappuccino and latte to the more hardcore coffees like black eye, red eye and espresso macchiato. For me, espressos are a must first thing in the morning and the machine has consistently made high-quality espresso shots that are rich and full of depth with that all important frothy crema on top that signals a great espresso. Lattes, cappuccinos and macchiatos all come out perfectly, come complete with the frothy milk on top.
What’s more, the machine looks sleek and sexy and will fit comfortably on the kitchen counter and won’t look out of place. All in all, a revolutionary kitchen gadget to fill your working from home days with a joy and happiness that only great coffee can bring.

Lakeland Compressor Ice Cream Maker
Let’s face it, we all love ice cream but it isn’t exactly kind to our waistlines. Being at home it can be easy to reach for the tub of your favourite cold treat whenever boredom strikes, especially with balmy summer days on the horizon.
A great alternative is to make your own frozen treats with fresh ingredients with the Lakeland Compressor Ice Cream Maker. This fabulous machine allows you to make a litre of fresh, home-made ice cream, gelato, sorbet or frozen yoghurt in just 60 minutes with no pre-freezing required.
Be creative and make frozen treats using your favourite fruits, nuts, sauces and more. Make mine a raspberry and yuzu sorbet!

KitchenAid Mini Stand Mixer
Baking has been the favourite pastime of choice for many people stuck indoors and it’s the perfect time to invest in a stand mixer to give you the extra pair of hands to make everything from fancy cakes to restaurant style pizzas. Stand mixers can be pricey but if you buy quality it will last you a lifetime and be your saviour in the kitchen when you need to whip up a cake in a hurry.
For the small-batch bakers and those with little real estate in the kitchen, I would highly recommend the KitchenAid 3,3 L Stand Mixer 5KSM3311X. This compact mixer is built in sturdy iron and comes with the usual accessories including a wire whisk for aerating mixtures, a flat beater for heavy mixtures, and a dough hook for bread/pizza dough. Don’t let the small size fool you, it’s a versatile 250W machine and is the ideal size if you don’t have a lot of workspace. 25% lighter and 20% smaller than a KitchenAid Classic, it’s still just as powerful. It of course makes smaller quantities than its counterparts but if you only need to make small batches there’s absolutely nothing wrong with this. I made good sized loves of bread, pizza dough and cinnamon rolls all of good quantities and without any hassle.
A brilliant feature of the machine is the accessories you can attach to the machine including a meat grinder, pasta roller, spiralizer and even juicer. When you buy KitchenAid you know you’re guaranteed quality and this baby will certainly help making delicious cupcakes, brownies and pizzas a piece of cake (sorry!)
Cuisinart Griddle & Grill
One of the most used items in my kitchen is definitely the grill. I love using it for my WFH lunchtime masterpiece, the panini! The Griddle & Grill allows you to be more experimental with your food than just paninis (thankfully) and the interchangeable grill and griddle plates can be used for everything from fluffy pancakes to crunchy vegetables and juicy seared steaks.
The innovative design means you can use it as a contact grill as well as a press so you can be really versatile with what you cook. If you’re looking for a healthier way of cooking it’s definitely an option to consider as it requires little oil thanks to its high-grade non-stick coating and the drip tray below will drain off any excess oil and fats. Since using it, I can’t believe how much fat comes off red meats like beef and lamb, it’s literally a life saver! The Griddle & Grill also has variable heat settings which is a fantastic feature as you can have complete control for cooking the likes of fish and soft vegetables. It also looks sleek and stylish in a matte grey colour and will look fabulous on any worktop but also small enough to fit into most kitchen cupboards.
Beerwulf The SUB Draught Beer Tap
If there’s one thing that makes an afternoon in the Summer sun complete, it’s a pint of your favourite draught beer, served icy cold. With drinking at the pub being a tad difficult right now, thanks to the clever people at Beerwulf, you can have a freshly poured pint any time you want it, chilled to the perfect temperature of 2 degrees and poured by your own hand. The SUB holds 2 litres of chilled beer and keeps your beer ready to drink for an incredible 15 days.
Using the SUB Torp kegs can’t be easier and what’s more you can choose from over 30 beers including Heineken, Amstel, Birra Moretti, BrewDog and many, many more. Simply attach the Top and wait until the power button turns green when the beer is at the optimum temperature for beer. The machine also fits snugly on most kitchen counters and certainly won’t look out of place in any kitchen. I absolutely love the Metallic Red colour but there are several colours to choose from to match your kitchen interior or even your secret makeshift pub at the back of the garden…
Aicock Slow Juicer
If there’s ever a good time to start drinking fresh fruit and vegetable juices packed with essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients, it’s now. There are various types of juicers on the market and it can be quite confusing but generally slow juicers are the best if you want to retain the most nutrition from your fruit and veg. This is because it uses a low rpm motor and a large rotating screw which chews and crushes the fruit and veg before being sieved to extract the juice.
You would usually have to spend hundreds of pounds to get a high quality slow juicer but the kitchen and household appliance manufacturer Aicok is shaking things up in the juicer world. Their Slow Juicer is around the £100 mark and it works like a charm. It’s surprisingly small in size, easy to set up and there’s only a few parts meaning it’s quick to wash up and clean and is even dishwasher safe. Having made juices using a range of fruit and veg including carrots, celery, ginger, apples, broccoli, and oranges, I can testify that this little machine packs a big punch when it comes to juicing.
OXO Stainless Steel Scale with Pull Out Display
Lockdown is the perfect time to master your baking skills and for the perfect cakes, scones, pastries and more, a precise kitchen scale is a must. The OXO Good Grips Scale is designed with a smudge-resistant stainless steel platform and has a game-changing pull-out display to prevent shadowing from large plates or bowls. This means you can always read the display even if the container is large.
The large backlit digital display means it’s easy to read and the plate can be removed for easy cleaning. The scales are super responsive and measures up to an impressive 5kg in ounces, pounds, grams and kilograms. I LOVE these scales and if you’re a novice baker like me or a budding Bake Off champion they will without doubt enhance your baking game.

So if you love your steak medium rare the thermometer will literally analyse your meat to determine the cooking time and let you know when the steak is cooked to your liking. This game-changing device even has an app that walks you through every step of the cooking process to guarantee perfect and consistent results.
