Ritorno - Stylish Milanese restaurant in London
Ritorno London - Restaurant Review
Cuisine: Italian - Milanese

Ritorno is a decadent Italian brasserie and bar. The restaurant decor is a stylish oasis with deep greens, gilded walls and elegant lighting.
As well as an impressive bar in the centre of the restaurant, there are classy tables located all around it, and a more private dining space towards the back of the restaurant. This chic restaurant offers all day dining and we decided to try it for dinner.
Food?
Ritorno is one of the few restaurants in London that serves Milanese food. The menu includes classics such as fritto di calamari e zucchine fritte (fried baby squid, zucchini, basil & lemon mayonnaise), milanese di vitello con l’osso (pan-fried veal milanese with bone, rocket and cherry tomato) and tagliatelle alla bolognese (homemade tagliatelle, slow cooked beef ragu).
We really enjoyed our starter of traditional aubergine Parmigiana in homemade San Marzano tomato sauce, with Mozzarella di Bufala Campana and fresh basil.
They also have a whole of pasta dishes, of which our favourite was the tagliolini al tartufo - handcrafted tagliolini pasta with organic French dairy farm butter and shaved black truffle of Norcia. The truffle is this dish was unctuous and we couldn’t get enough of it!
Everyone know Italian desserts are amazing and our tiramisu lived up to all expectation. Served in a large cappuccino cup, the layers of cream, sponge and chocolate divine.
Price?
The prices at Ritorno are at the higher end, mainly due to its premium location, luxury feel and high quality ingredients from Italian producers. Mains can range from £12-£26 with starters and desserts between £8-£15.
Overall?
Ritorno is lovely elegant restaurant which is ideal for an intimate luxury dinner for two. The classy bar area means you can also enjoy one of their signature cocktails in style.
