Having been on the tourist trail for a while, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Phuket, but I was pleasantly surprised by the blissful and luxurious haven I found at Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay

Nestled in the heart of Kalim Bay, Wyndham Grand boasts a prime location that combines tranquillity with convenience. I was thrilled to be just a short distance away from Patong Beach, where I could enjoy the vibrant Phuket nightlife. But what truly stole my heart was the breathtaking view of the Andaman Sea from the hillside position of the resort. It was like waking up in a dream every morning.

Style and Decor

From the moment I walked into the grand lobby, I was entranced by the impeccable style and decor of Wyndham Grand. The fusion of modern elegance with authentic Thai influences was a sight to behold. The intricate local artwork and warm lighting created an inviting and calming ambiance.

Accommodation

The Pool Ocean View Villa was my choice, and it proved to be an excellent decision. Equipped with a private plunge pool and a spacious outdoor area, it offers the perfect setting for relaxation and privacy. The stunning sea views from the villa's windows and terrace made me feel like royalty. Whether I was lounging by the pool or watching the stars on the balcony after dinner, the Pool Villa provided an exclusive and unforgettable stay.

Each morning, I woke up to the sight of turquoise waters and felt the gentle sea breeze, creating an almost surreal experience that transported me to paradise.

A culinary highlight during my stay was the highly anticipated Thai Buffet Night at The Restaurant. Held on select evenings, this special event showcased the best of Thai cuisine in a lavish buffet spread. From appetisers and salads to main courses and desserts, the buffet offered an impressive array of dishes.

I savoured traditional Thai favourites which were freshly made in front of you to order, including Som Tum (green papaya salad), Gaeng Keow Wan Gai (green curry with chicken), and Pla Rad Prik (fried fish with chili sauce). Each dish was an explosion of flavours that celebrated the rich culinary heritage of Thailand.

The Thai Buffet Night wasn't just a meal; it was an immersive experience. The restaurant was beautifully adorned with Thai decor, and the warm hospitality of the staff added to the overall charm of the evening.

Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay also offers a beautiful floating breakfast. This experience allows guests to savour a delectable selection of fresh tropical fruits, pastries, savoury delights, and refreshing beverages, all served on a floating tray right at the edge of your private pool. It as a lovely experience to bask in the stunning views and relish the carefully crafted breakfast.

Facilities

The facilities at Wyndham Grand were nothing short of exceptional. The infinity pool, overlooking the bay, was my go-to spot for relaxation.

The spa was one of the best I’ve tried in the whole of Thailand. It offered a blissful escape, and I treated myself to a rejuvenating massage. The staff were exceptional, combining the perfect level of friendly and professional attentiveness.

For fitness enthusiasts, the well-equipped gym is a perfect way to stay active during my vacation.
