Perfect for Pedigree Meat: Tunstall Meat Company
Tunstall Meat Company was born out of the desire to help preserve some of the rare breeds native to the UK. On their farm in North Yorkshire they rear Berkshire Pigs, Hampshire Down Sheep, Belted Galloway and Hereford Cattle. As a result, all the beef, pork and lamb they sell comes from their own high welfare farms just a few miles from their butchery and shop in Richmond, North Yorkshire.
This combined with their strong belief in high welfare and traceable meat means that their produce is of a premium quality. I particularly loved the lamb koftas made with Hampshire Down native breed sheep, as they were succulent and full of flavour. I also enjoyed the pork and apples burgers which were ideal for a BBQ!

Perfect for Lamb - Pembrokeshire Lamb
Pembrokeshire Lamb is a family run business offering delicious lamb, hogget and mutton boxes delivered throughout the UK. The ethos of quality and sustainability runs deep with this company and it is evident from every part of the product.
All the meat is produced using traditional and ethical farming values which ensure animal welfare and preservation of the land used. This same care is placed in the packing and delivery too. The packaging used is 100% sustainable, using recycled cardboard and 100% natural wool pouches. They also strive to avoid using plastic, preferring the butchers paper instead.
I sampled the Lamb Taster Selection Box which contained a half shoulder, half leg, half breast (boned and rolled) and 6 divine cutlets and loin chops. The high quality was evident in the complex flavours of the meat, and the box provided enough to feed a family well over a good few meals!
With free delivery on all orders, Pembrokeshire Lamb is definitely one to try.

At the Dorset Meat Company, their focus is on sustainability, with 100% grass-fed outdoor reared animals on small farms across Dorset. This commitment to small-scale farming means that all their meat is produced in harmony with nature, resulting in wholesome, natural meat.
In addition, Dorset Meat Company also offers a range of delicious farmhouse cheeses, again all made by independent and award-winning cheesemakers from the West Country. In addition, their Deli offers Great Taste Award winning chorizo and salami, as well as a range of sauces and condiments. This is an ideal option for stocking up on a few essentials all in one go.
Perfect for Pork - Primrose Herd
Located in Cornwall, Primrose Herd offers award-winning pork products, delivered across the country. The traditional breeds are reared slowly and naturally outdoors to produce meat with an honest provenance.
I sampled the Primrose Herd Family Box, which contained a wide selection of joints and cuts. I loved the variety within the box, as it contained roasting joints with delicious crackling, chops and steaks ideal for family meals together, and sausages and bacon perfect for a full English breakfast!
We certainly got a lot of use out of this box and were able to make a variety of different dishes, making it great value for money. All the meat is suitable for home freezing, which is ideal for making it last even longer! Additionally, as well as the hampers you can also order individual cuts too, which is perfect for smaller households.
If you’re looking for high-quality pork meat, such as pork leg or pork shoulder roasting joints, loin steaks or incredible pork chops, this is definitely the box for you!

The Meat Box Company prides itself on its speedy next-day delivery option - which is great for that last-minute barbecue! The Meat Box Company can deliver a wide range of fresh or cured meat boxes directly from their farm straight to your door.
There’s a host of choice including lamb, chicken, pork and duck. I tried the ‘Low Fat and Lean’ box which was delivered to me the next day and included a delicious range of meats such as chicken fillets, turkey escalope and venison loin steaks too!
Perfect for Luxury Meat Hampers - Dukeshill
Dukeshill is an independent online business run by the Hollingsworth family, who make and sell mouth-watering hams, sausages, bacon, pork pies and so much more. In business since 1985, Dukeshill have won a host of awards along the way.
They're the current holders of the Farm Shop and Deli Online Business Award 2020. Back in 1998 they started to supply the Queen with ham, so it has the royal sign off too!
What I particularly like about Dukeshill is their ‘Build your own hamper’ option, and this is exactly what I tried. All you have to do is select the produce you want, ranging from meats, dairy, condiments and cheese too. You then choose the size of your beautiful black hamper and then your premium food hamper is delivered straight to you!
We enjoyed a delicious barbecue with our hamper and loved the quality of the meat. The ribs were particularly amazing and an epic size too!
Perfect for Smoked Meats - Macneil's Smokehouse
Macneil's Smokehouse is an artisan small scale producer that makes small batches of delicious smoked meats.
Using an imported vintage Norwegian smoking kiln and the highest quality ingredients, they produce fantastic smoked salmon, duck, chicken and more. Their cure and smoke process is unique and produces the most delicious melt in the mouth food which perfectly balances out any dish.
I loved having a stock of Macneil’s smoked products in the kitchen as I was able to easily cook up delicious meals including smoked salmon and avocado on sourdough toast for breakfast and smoked duck and watercress salad for lunch.
Macneil’s is one of my favourite smokehouses due to the delicate smoked flavours their meat has which isn’t overwhelming or overpowering when combined with other dishes.
Perfect for Premium Cuts - Côte at Home
Côte at Home is a favourite of mine for their luxury French meals which are delivered straight to your door. Yet they also have a Butchery range which offers premium cuts from Côte’s own butchery.
As well as meat boxes, you can also buy individual cuts such as ribeye steaks, pork medallions and a divine marinated corn-fed chicken supreme which was by far my favourite! As it had already been marinated, it was super easy to cook and to create a delicious dinner with minimal effort. It’s definitely worth keeping one of these in the fridge!
